Job summary

MJ is actively seeking a GIS technician to join our team to assist with current and exciting future projects. A motivated candidate with a strong interest in GIS, who is well organized, resourceful, and detail-oriented, is preferred.

The role involves working as an entry- to mid-level member of a geospatial group focusing on infrastructure mapping and terrestrial LiDAR, including data collection, 3D modeling, mapping, and app development, using GIS, CAD, and programming tools.

Qualifications

Two years of college coursework in GIS/land surveying with 1–3 years related experience.
Knowledge of GIS mapping, data development and QA/QC, and map creation.
Experience with ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Online.
Experience with ArcGIS Online and Esri Field Maps for field data collection.
Familiarity with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Google Earth.

Responsibilities

Entry- to mid-level member of a geospatial group focusing on infrastructure mapping and LiDAR data collection, 3D modeling, mapping, and app development.
Collaborate with the team using GIS, CAD, and programming software to complete mapping and GIS projects.
