Job summary

Fervo Energy in the Western U.S. is seeking a GIS Data Administrator to own the enterprise geodatabase and spatial data ecosystem. You will ensure data integrity, governance, and accessibility to GIS analysts, developers, and field operations.

You will design geodatabase models, manage versioning, and build ETL pipelines with Python and ETL tools, integrating external land data sources across the Western U.S. A hybrid office schedule is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in GIS or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 4+ years in GIS data management and geodatabase administration.
• Expert ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Enterprise/Portal administration.
• Experience with PostgreSQL/PostGIS or SQL Server Spatial.
• Proven ability to build automated spatial data pipelines with Python.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and administer enterprise geodatabase (ArcGIS) including schemas and maintenance.
• Define and enforce geodatabase data models, domains, and topology rules.
• Manage geodatabase versioning for concurrent editing.
• Develop and maintain ETL pipelines to ingest and publish spatial data.
• Build automated data updates using Python and ETL tools.
• Integrate external sources such as BLM LR2000, state portals, USGS, FEMA.
• Establish spatial data standards, metadata conventions, and CRS policies.
• Develop automated data validation and QA/QC workflows.
• Maintain authoritative GIS datasets for land status, ownership, lease areas, and project boundaries across the Western U.S.
