Job summary

Fervo Energy, headquartered in Houston with offices in Golden, CO, seeks a GIS Data Administrator to manage the enterprise geodata, pipelines, and governance critical to GIS analyses and field operations. You will work with ArcGIS Pro/Enterprise, PostGIS, and Python to maintain data integrity across land status, project boundaries, and infrastructure in the Western U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in GIS, Geography, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 4+ years in GIS data management, geodatabase administration, or spatial data engineering.
• Expert proficiency in ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Enterprise/Portal geodatabase administration.
• Hands-on experience with enterprise relational spatial databases (PostgreSQL/PostGIS or SQL Server Spatial).
• Demonstrated experience building and maintaining automated spatial data pipelines using Python.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and administer enterprise geodatabase environment (ArcGIS Enterprise/Portal and ArcGIS Online).
• Define and enforce geodatabase data models, feature class schemas, and topology rules.
• Manage geodatabase versioning for concurrent editing by GIS analysts, developers, and field data collection systems.
• Develop and maintain ETL pipelines to ingest and publish spatial and tabular data into the geodatabase.
• Build automated data update workflows using Python (ArcPy, arcgis, pandas) and ETL tools.
• Integrate external data sources (BLM LR2000, state GIS portals, USGS, FEMA).
• Establish and enforce spatial data standards, metadata conventions, naming schemas, and CRS policies.
• Develop automated data validation and QA/QC workflows.
• Maintain authoritative GIS datasets for land status, ownership, lease areas, project boundaries, and infrastructure.
