Job summary

Middle Tennessee Electric Membership Corporation is seeking an experienced GIS leader to manage and grow our geographic information systems program. You will oversee GIS planning, establish standards, and guide a team of GIS professionals to deliver reliable data and services for our members.

This role emphasizes collaboration with other departments, data model development, system integration, and project delivery using Esri-based GIS.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent from an accredited college is required.
• Minimum of six (6) years of experience in GIS applications development and/or GIS project management, with at least three (3) years supervisory experience.
• Experience developing GIS networked data models, with preference for Esri based GIS.
• Knowledge in GIS data management, integration with systems, and power components.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Manage, plan, establish and maintain MTE's GIS program and lead GIS personnel.
• Provide data models, system integration, and project delivery for reliable member service.

Job Summary:

To be primarily responsible for managing, planning, establishing and maintaining MTE's Geographic Information Systems and leading GIS personnel in a manner to provide affordable, reliable, safe electricity and outstanding member service.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent from an accredited college is required.
• Must have a minimum of six (6) years of experience in GIS applications development and/or GIS project management, with at least three (3) years supervisory experience.
• Must have experience developing GIS networked data model(s), with strong preference given to experience in Esri based GIS.
• Preference will be given to those with knowledge and experience in GIS data management, integration with NISC ABS and CIS, Outage Management Systems, ADMN, relational database concepts, and power systems components.
• Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
• Must have the ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
• Willingness to participate in on-the-job training.
