Job summary
Invenergy is seeking a Geospatial Analyst to join the Engineering & GIS team in the Chicago area. This entry-level role focuses on learning GIS workflows and supporting energy project lifecycles with mapping, data management, and cross-department collaboration.
You will develop skills in ArcGIS, data processing, and project siting while contributing to siting, permitting, and design activities across energy infrastructure projects.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Geography, GIS, Environmental Science, or related field.
- Proficiency with ESRI software including ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Online/Enterprise.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Clear communication and ability to work in a team.
- Eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship now or in the future.
Responsibilities
- Collaborative Mapping & Data Support: deliver high-quality maps, data, and interactive products with GIS Analysts and Developers.
- Project & Workflow Support: assist with map requests, spatial data integration, and basic analyses.
- Data Management & Learning: maintain centralized GIS databases with standards and version control; learn automation and data management practices.
- Team Contribution & Growth: participate in meetings, share knowledge, and develop GIS skills across software and renewable energy workflows.
