Job summary
Invenergy LLC is seeking a Geospatial Scientist to support thermal energy project development through geospatial analysis, routing, siting assessments, and technical research. You will partner with engineering, development, permitting, and project teams to identify opportunities, constraints, and risks across the project lifecycle.
The ideal candidate combines GIS expertise with a curiosity for learning, strong analytical skills, and the ability to communicate technical findings to diverse
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher in a related field.
- 4+ years of geospatial analysis experience.
- Experience with ESRI products (ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online/Portal, ArcMap).
- Ability to interpret environmental, technical, and geophysical datasets.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Experience collaborating with multiple stakeholders across disciplines.
Responsibilities
- Conduct geospatial analyses to support project development, routing, siting, and due diligence activities.
- Assess environmental, permitting, and operational constraints affecting project development.
- Use GIS tools to identify opportunities, risks, and fatal flaws.
- Analyze raster datasets and geophysical information for project evaluations.
- Develop maps, GIS products, and technical memorandums to communicate findings.
- Collaborate with engineering, development, permitting, and project teams throughout the lifecycle.
- Support site layout development and optimization of infrastructure placement.
- Monitor progress and communicate risks and key findings to stakeholders.
- Prepare technical documentation, RFPs, RFIs, scopes of work, and contractor deliverables.
- Maintain geospatial data quality and governance standards.
- Explore new tools and workflows for continuous improvement.
- Assist with project execution through research and data coordination.
