Job Title: Geospatial Analyst

The Department of Transportation is seeking a skilled Geospatial Analyst to design and develop complex geospatial products. The role involves managing geospatial projects, supervising a team of specialists, and collaborating within the Photogrammetry Surveys Section of the Engineering Automation and Services Division in the Bureau of Construction and Materials.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Conduct advanced geospatial analyses including spatial modeling, data integration, and topographic feature identification.
2. Plan and execute 3D modeling and mapping projects, customizing geospatial data collection and evaluation.
3. Maintain UAS equipment inventory, manage remote pilots, and support UAS data mapping and modeling.
4. Oversee data archives, survey control inventories, and contribute to the GIS graphics interface development.
5. Manage project tasks, supervise staff, and ensure deadlines and quality standards are met.
6. Develop and deliver training programs on aerial mission planning, triangulation, mapping, and GIS deliverables.
7. Participate in strategic planning and evaluate operational efficiency of geospatial services.
8. Handle contracts related to aerial photography, lidar data, and mapping services, including negotiations and quality assurance.

Additional Details:

• Full-time position with work hours from 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday to Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
• Opportunity for telework, subject to high-speed internet and approved location inside Pennsylvania.
