Job Description

Dewberry is currently seeking a Senior Geospatial Analyst in our Tampa, FL or Fairfax, VA office. This is an excellent career opportunity to join a team of professionals within a multidisciplinary consulting and engineering firm. We focus on professional growth and applying the latest technology. Responsibilities include working on GIS/IT and Remote Sensing projects for state and federal clients across the US, including script/macro development, training, production, QC, and process improvement.

Remote positions will be considered based on experience.

Responsibilities
  • Create Scripts/Models/Macros for multiple sensor platforms
  • Assist in project execution, ensuring timely delivery within budget
  • Manage and monitor production data, ensure data protocols are met
  • Follow quality control steps to meet client specifications
  • Support SOP development and process improvements
  • Support automation of production and QC processes
  • Handle multi-sensor processing, manipulation, and production
  • Analyze point clouds and geospatial data layers
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications
Beneficial Skills or Experiences
  • Education in Surveying, Geomatics, GIS or related fields
  • Conference speaking and communication skills
  • Project management experience or certification
  • Experience with Terrasolid, MicroStation, LASTools, LP360, Global Mapper, QGIS
  • Knowledge of Python or other programming languages
  • Experience with GDAL, command line applications
  • ArcGIS Data Review and Production Editing
  • Certifications such as NGA, GISP, ASPRS in Lidar or Remote Sensing
  • Experience as an Aerial Sensor Operator
  • Current security clearance
Minimum Requirements
  • 8+ years in imagery and lidar data processing and analysis
  • Understanding of GIS and Lidar concepts, data types, coordinate systems
  • Knowledge of Lidar workflows and elevation products
  • Proficiency in ArcGIS 10x, ArcPro
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Experience mentoring junior staff

  • Valid driver's license and ability to pass background checks
