Job summary

YO IT Consulting is seeking a Geospatial Analysis Specialist for a remote, contract role in the United States. You will train AI systems by providing high-quality geospatial data and insights, applying domain knowledge without requiring AI experience.

You will design and manage spatial databases, automate workflows in PyQGIS, and produce cartographic outputs for decision support, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver geospatial solutions.

Qualifications

• Expertise in QGIS, including spatial DB management, geoprocessing, and map production.
• Strong Python skills with PyQGIS automation.
• Understanding of spatial projections and data transformation.
• Ability to customize QGIS via plugins or scripting.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience producing professional cartographic outputs for decision contexts.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail with multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Design, manage, and maintain spatial databases with data integrity.
• Conduct geoprocessing and spatial modeling using QGIS and derive insights.
• Develop and maintain QGIS plugins and extensions per project specs.
