Job summary

YO AI Labs is seeking a GIS/Geospatial Expert for a remote contractor role. You will evaluate real-world geospatial workflows and help improve next-generation AI systems using your hands-on GIS, remote sensing, and spatial analytics experience.

A strong emphasis on documenting workflows in Python and applying AI coding agents will be essential. You will collaborate with technical stakeholders to refine requirements, contribute to evaluation datasets, and ensure clear, actionable outputs for both

Qualifications

• Proven experience in GIS, remote sensing, or related geospatial fields.
• Hands-on use of AI coding agents for geospatial projects.
• Proficiency in Python and geospatial technologies.
• Experience with debugging and end-to-end feature development.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Ability to document workflows for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience collaborating with remote or multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert analysis and feedback on GIS and geospatial challenges.
• Document technical workflows using Python and AI coding agents.
• Apply tools such as Codex, Claude Code, Claude Cowork, and Claude Science to real-world tasks.
• Evaluate AI-generated solutions for complex geospatial problems, debugging, and code development.
• Document problem-solving approaches, workflows, and outcomes.
• Contribute to datasets and evaluation frameworks for AI training and benchmarking.
• Collaborate with technical stakeholders to refine documentation and project requirements.
