Job summary

INTERA is seeking a Geoscience Technician to join our Austin office and support groundwater, environmental, geophysical, and subsurface characterization projects across Texas and the western United States.

You will manage, organize, analyze, and visualize geoscience datasets, maintain data quality, and develop technical visualizations while collaborating with senior geophysicists, geologists, hydrogeologists, and engineers. Occasional field support is possible.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Geology, Geophysics, Hydrogeology, GIS, Environmental Science, Geological/ Petroleum/ Data Science, or related field.
Zero to three years of geoscience, environmental consulting, groundwater investigations, GIS, or data management experience.

Responsibilities

Data compilation, management, QA/QC of geologic, hydrogeologic, geophysical, environmental, and water-quality datasets.
Prepare GIS maps, figures, dashboards, and graphics for reports.
Develop and maintain data-management workflows and project databases.
Process and analyze geoscience datasets using industry-standard software.
Create technical figures and appendices for technical reports and client deliverables.
Provide field support and coordinate data transfers among teams.
