Job summary

Learning Care Group, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Teacher for Georgia’s Pre-K program to instruct 4-year-old students under the guidance of the Lead Teacher. The role requires adherence to licensing guidelines and center standards while delivering engaging, age-appropriate activities.

You will develop observation and planning skills, communicate with families, and implement curriculum that fosters creative learning experiences for young children.

Qualifications

• Must have an Associates Degree or Technical Certification Credit (TCC) in Early Childhood Education, Child Development or related, or an active CDA in Preschool.
• Experience in a licensed childcare center or related field.
• Ability to meet state requirements for education and center policies.

Responsibilities

Georgia’s Pre-K Program is a state funded educational program for all age eligible 4-year-old children in Georgia. The purpose of Georgia’s Pre-K Program is to prepare children for success in Kindergarten and later school years. The Pre-K Assistant Teacher is responsible for instructing 4-year-old's, based on needs of each child, and the requirements of the program under the guidance of the Lead Teacher.

As an Assistant Teacher, you are:

• Caring! Follow all licensing guidelines, company standards and grant program requirements to ensure the daily care of every child in your classroom.
• Engaged! Develop your ability to accurately observe, assess, and plan for children, as well as effectively communicate with families.
