Job summary

Learning Care Group in Georgia is seeking an Assistant Teacher for Georgia’s Pre-K program to support 4-year-olds under the guidance of the Lead Teacher. You will implement curriculum and contribute to a nurturing classroom environment.

The role emphasizes observing, assessing, and planning for children's development, effective family communication, and adherence to licensing and grant requirements. A student-friendly, inclusive workplace is offered.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree or Technical Certification Credit (TCC) in Early Childhood Education, Child Development or related or an active CDA in Preschool.
• Experience in a licensed childcare center or related field.
• The ability to meet state requirements for education and our center requirements.
• Able to work indoors or outdoors and engage in physical activity with children.

Responsibilities

• Instruct 4‑year‑olds based on the needs of each child and the program under the Lead Teacher guidance.
• Follow all licensing guidelines, company standards and grant program requirements.
• Develop your ability to observe, assess and plan for children and communicate with families.
• Create fun, interactive learning experiences while implementing curriculum.

Georgia’s Pre‑K Program is a state funded educational program for all age eligible 4‑year‑old children in Georgia. The purpose of Georgia’s Pre‑K Program is to prepare children for success in Kindergarten and later school years. The Pre‑K Assistant Teacher is responsible for instructing 4‑year‑old's, based on needs of each child, and the requirements of the program under the guidance of the Lead Teacher.

As an Assistant Teacher, you are:
