Job summary

Georgia’s Pre-K Program is seeking a Lead Pre-K Teacher to plan, assess, and instruct 4-year-old children in accordance with state guidelines and program standards.

You will create engaging lessons, mentor fellow teachers, and lead classroom management while ensuring compliance with GA Pre-K licensing requirements. Strong communication with families supports child achievement and center success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education, approved related degree or higher credential.
• Experience leading a classroom and creating educational lesson plans.
• Ability to meet state requirements for education and childcare center requirements.
• Ability to work indoors or outdoors and engage in physical activity with children.

Georgia’s Pre-K Program is a state funded educational program for all age eligible 4-year-old children in Georgia. The purpose of Georgia’s Pre-K Program is to prepare children for success in Kindergarten and later school years. The Pre-K LeadTeacher is responsible for all aspects of planning, assessing and instructing 4-year-old's, based on needs of each child, and the requirements of the program.

As a Lead Pre-K Teacher, you’ll:

• Create! Develop fun,interactive learning experiences while mentoring fellow Teachers.
• Care! Promote the social, physical, and intellectual growth of the preschool childreninyour class.
• Call the shots! Take the lead onclassroom managementand curriculum implementation,plusbe an expert on all licensing guidelines, company standards and GA Pre-K program requirements.
• Communicate! Build sincere relationships with enrolled and prospective families to promote achievement for the child and to support your center’s success.
