Qualifications

• Must be enrolled full-time in a four-year university or a recent graduate.
• Pursuing a degree in Geology or a closely related field.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; strong data analysis and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; detail oriented.

Responsibilities

• Assist exploration geologic staff on various projects under supervision.
• Spend time at multiple Freeport-McMoRan locations; mix of field and office work.
• Create sample IDs and submit samples for laboratory analysis.
• Load lab results into relational databases and ensure data quality.
• Digitize maps, log drill cuttings, and support district exploration.
