Job summary

Hudbay, a copper-focused mining company, seeks a Geologist Laborer (Temporary) to support field and lab tasks at the Copper World Project near Sahuarita, AZ, with assignments also at the Mason Project in Nevada.

You will handle drill core, sample rock, operate light equipment, assist geology and survey teams, and maintain daily progress reports; role requires physical fitness and willingness to travel.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Positive work ethic required.

Responsibilities

• Work safely and maintain an orderly workplace.
• Move and unstack pallets of drill core for analyses; restack and replace pallets correctly.
• Sample drill core in storage yard following safety and quality practices.
• Collect rock samples from road cuts.
• Split drill core for analysis using automated core saw (training provided).
• Operate small equipment such as a skid steer or forklift.
