Job summary

Origin Mining is seeking a Geo-Tech (Sampler) to join the geology team in Golden Valley, AZ. You will coordinate sampling with drilling crews, create sample tags, label drill holes, collect cuttings, and ensure proper paperwork and timely delivery to the assay lab.

Ideal candidates communicate clearly, operate a light vehicle, and uphold safety regulations. The role requires outdoor mining environment, ability to lift 50 lbs, respirator, and willingness to work a full-time schedule, including

Qualifications

• Outdoor mine/manufacturing setting with exposure to extreme temperatures.
• Lift up to 50 pounds and perform similar actions regularly.
• Must wear respirator and pass fit test.

Responsibilities

• Work closely and coordinate work schedule with drilling and blasting.
• Identify which drillholes require sampling from the drill pattern including those needing duplicate samples used for quality control.
• Create sample tags to match blast hole ID’s.
• Label blast holes.
• Collect blast hole cuttings samples (including duplicates) in accordance with SOP.
• Submit and maintain sample delivery paperwork.
• Organize and deliver samples to the assay lab for analysis.
• Monitor all sampling supplies and submit orders to supervisor prior to depletion.
• Ensure on-site lab is maintaining blasthole pulp inventory.
• Assist mine surveyors and assay lab technicians as needed.
• Organize and maintain drill campaign samples
