Job summary

SSR Mining Inc. invites qualified full-time students in mining engineering to join Marigold's Mine Engineering Internship in Valmy, Nevada. The program runs mid-May through mid-August and offers hands-on experience in large-scale open pit operations and project work.

As an intern you will assist across mining, mechanical, civil projects, budgeting, scheduling, safety, and environmental protection while collaborating with operations and maintenance teams to improve efficiency and cost control.

Qualifications

• Full-time college student pursuing mining engineering or a closely related field.
• Student at sophomore, junior, senior, or graduate level with strong academic performance.
• Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Assists in coordinating mining, mechanical, civil and other projects including scope of work and cost estimates.
• Assists in evaluating current systems and processes and implements optimizations to improve efficiencies.
• Participates in project work including budgeting, engineering, purchasing, construction and cost control.
• Develops engineering projects using new technology to enhance safety and environmental protections.
• Supports teamwork and positive employee relations across departments to improve safety and efficiency.
