Raise is seeking a Geologist for a one-year contract at the Spring, Texas campus to support Enhanced Oil Recovery (EOR) and Low Carbon Solutions (LCS). The role combines geological, petrophysical, and reservoir data to optimize reservoir performance and assess carbon storage opportunities.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in a related field.
  • Experience with reservoir characterization and static reservoir modeling.
  • Knowledge of Enhanced Oil Recovery (EOR) methods and CCUS principles.
  • Strong petrophysics background with ability to translate log/core/seismic data.
  • Experience with reserve estimation and subsurface evaluation.
  • Familiarity with SSHE standards and regulatory compliance.
  • Strong technical documentation skills for audit support and reporting.
  • Proven ability to collaborate across geoscience, reservoir engineering, operations, and environmental teams.

Responsibilities

  • Integrate geological, petrophysical, and reservoir data to support EOR projects.
  • Maximize carbon storage value while maintaining reservoir value.
  • Develop and maintain static reservoir models.
  • Characterize reservoir heterogeneity.
  • Identify EOR opportunities.
  • Support pattern surveillance and optimization with cross-team collaboration.
  • Provide support for abandonment evaluations and regulatory reporting.
  • Ensure alignment with corporate and regulatory requirements.
  • Support annual volume certification activities for LCS operations.
  • Prepare technical documentation and audit support materials.
