Job summary

HDR seeks a Geologist II to support geologic and hydrologic studies and contaminated site remediation across US projects. The role will involve field work, data analysis, and preparation of deliverables. You will work on medium to large projects and may lead teams in some assignments.

Required: Bachelor's degree in Geology or related field, 5+ years of experience, field work experience, and strong communication skills. Ability to travel and endure challenging environments is expected.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Geology, Earth Science, Hydrogeology or closely related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience.
  • Field work experience.
  • Experience with well installation techniques, and groundwater and soil sampling procedures and analysis.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Leadership skills and ability to work in a team environment.
  • Ability and willingness to travel and perform physically demanding tasks in adverse environmental conditions.

Job Summary

  • Assist with contaminated site remediation tasks;
  • Conduct analyses to develop design options or recommendations, and assist in the preparation of service deliverable documents;
  • Perform assignments requiring application of moderately complex objectives and limited variables;
  • Work independently on medium‑size projects or assist more‑senior scientists on larger projects;
  • Perform other duties as needed.

Primary Location: United States – Texas – Austin. Other Locations: United States – Louisiana – Baton Rouge; United States – Texas – Houston. Schedule: Full‑time. Employee Status: Regular.
