Job summary

HDR is seeking a Geologist II to support geologic and hydrologic studies and remediation across client projects in the United States. The role involves field work, data analysis, and producing deliverables.

Primary location: United States – Texas – Austin, with opportunities at other sites. Full-time employment with a focus on teamwork and safety in challenging environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Geology, Earth Science, Hydrogeology or closely related field.
• 5+ years of experience.
• Field work experience required.
• Experience with well installation techniques, groundwater and soil sampling procedures and analysis.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Leadership and ability to work in a team environment.
• Willingness to travel may be required.

Job Summary

We are looking for a Geologist II to assist in geologic and hydrologic studies and contaminated site remediation across client projects in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Assist with geologic and hydrologic studies, including field work, and other hydrologic, geologic, geophysical tasks both locally and nationally;
• Assist with contaminated site remediation tasks;
• Conduct analyses to develop design options or recommendations, and assist in the preparation of service deliverable documents;
• Perform assignments requiring application of moderately complex objectives and limited variables;
• Work independently on medium‑size projects or assist more‑senior scientists on larger projects;
• Perform other duties as needed.

• Master's degree

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Geology, Earth Science, Hydrogeology or closely related field;
• A minimum of 5 years of experience;
• Prior experience with field work;
• Experience with well installation techniques, and groundwater and soil sampling procedures and analysis;
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs;
• Strong oral and written communication skills;
• Leadership skills and ability to work in a team environment;
• Ability and willingness to perform physically demanding tasks in adverse environmental conditions (rugged terrain, remote locations, hot and cold temperatures);
• May require ability to travel;

Primary Location: United States – Texas – Austin. Other Locations: United States – Louisiana – Baton Rouge; United States – Texas – Houston. Schedule: Full‑time. Employee Status: Regular.
