Job summary

The Aerospace Corporation in Chantilly, VA seeks a Systems Director - Engineering Program Management and Systems Engineering to lead a National Aerospace team supporting NRO and GEOINT initiatives. You will guide technology investments, manage a diverse team, and collaborate with DoD/IC partners to advance space systems.

This 100% onsite role requires a current TS/SCI clearance, engineering leadership, and travel readiness; compensation ranges from $168,200 to $252,400 annually, plus benefits

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering, mathematics, the physical sciences, or a related field.
At least 12 years’ experience in GEOINT sensing modalities and related technologies.
Experience building and leading multi-disciplinary teams across complex technology challenges.

Responsibilities

Lead a National Aerospace team guiding technology investments and collaborating with NRO/DoD/IC offices.
Prioritize next-generation spaceflight hardware development and assess technology utility from component to architecture levels.
Provide personnel leadership including hiring, performance assessments, mentoring and career planning.
