Job summary

Leidos is actively seeking a Data Scientist to join our growing team in St. Louis, MO. The role focuses on GEOINT integration, data management, and automation to modernize workflows and enable scalable analysis across programs.

You will collaborate with senior data scientists and developers to convert legacy code to Python, build dashboards, and document data practices while applying industry best practices.

Qualifications

• 3-6 years’ experience in Python or R, data preprocessing, and basic machine learning.
• Active TS/SCI with willingness to be approved for a Polygraph.
• Bachelor’s Degree in a related field; additional experience considered in lieu of degree.
• Working knowledge of ArcGIS, ArcSDE, ArcPro; familiarity with PostgreSQL and APIs.

Responsibilities

• Provide data management and automation support to geospatial analysis teams.
• Develop and modernize data workflows supporting multiple programs.
• Collaborate with senior data scientists, developers, and analysts to implement pipelines.
• Research and document data practices and system dependencies.
• Design improved workflows with automation from the outset.
• Translate analytical findings for non-technical audiences.
