Job summary

Geosyntec Consultants is seeking a Senior Geoenvironmental Engineer to lead and grow our geoenvironmental practice in multiple offices including Bloomfield, NJ. The role combines technical leadership with business development to expand our solid waste and remediation capabilities.

You will direct projects from planning through post-closure monitoring, mentor staff, and engage with clients to deliver practical, compliant solutions in a fast-paced consultancy environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil, geotechnical, geological engineering or related field is required.
• Professional Engineer (P.E.) registration is required.
• Advanced degree in the same field is preferred.
• 8+ years (10+ preferred) of relevant consulting/design experience in geoenvironmental engineering.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage complex solid waste and remediation projects involving landfills and related geoenvironmental systems.
• Provide strategic technical guidance, responsive consulting support, and practical solutions for geoenvironmental issues.
• Support practice growth through business development, client relationships, and proposals.
• Oversee project execution from investigation through permitting, design, construction, and post-closure monitoring.
• Provide senior technical input and quality review of engineering documents and compliance submittals.
• Mentor staff and coordinate multidisciplinary teams; travel as needed for field work and meetings.
