Job summary

Geosyntec is seeking a Geoenvironmental Engineer for our Northern California/San Francisco Bay Area practice in Oakland, Walnut Creek, Sacramento or Davis offices. Hybrid work may be available.

You will apply engineering skills to site characterization, landfill and compost facility design, QA, sustainable solid waste planning, slope stability, regulatory compliance, and permitting. The role requires a Bachelor's in civil/environmental/geotechnical engineering, 5+ years of related experience,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil, environmental, geologic or geotechnical engineering (required)
• Advanced degree (preferred)
• Professional Engineer (P.E.) registration (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Civil and stormwater design and site layout for landfill and composting facilities.
• Engineering analyses such as slope stability, seismic design, foundation design, leachate and landfill gas modeling, and seepage.
• Preparation of permit documents and cost estimates; construction quality plans.
• Fieldwork associated with investigation, design and construction services.
• Regulatory compliance with solid and hazardous wastes.
• Assist in proposals and business development.
• Drive to client or project sites as needed.
