Geosyntec Consultants is seeking an Environmental Health and Safety Specialist to support HSE compliance across California locations (Los Angeles, San Diego, San Francisco, Walnut Creek, Rancho Cordova). Hybrid work options are available, and the role is part of the Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) team providing expert guidance on safety matters for projects and operations.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of HSE experience, relevant certifications (CIH/CSP in progress), and a strong

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in occupational safety, science, or related field.
• CIH or CSP accreditation to be completed within one year of hire.
• 5+ years of full-time HSE experience or equivalent.
• Experience with Cal/OSHA requirements is strongly preferred.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license for business travel.

Responsabilidades

• Assist in review, development, and deployment of project-specific HSE plans and documentation.
• Implement HSE program components for Geosyntec facilities and project sites.
• Review contract specs and safety language for subcontractors.
• Identify and mitigate office-specific HSE hazards and ensure compliance.
• Perform on-site site visits, audits, and provide technical guidance on HSE compliance.
• Deliver HSE training to meet company, local, and external requirements.
• Investigate incidents/injuries/non-conformances in project and office settings.
• Support safety readiness and emergency planning efforts.
• Perform and support ergonomic risk assessments and corrective actions.
• Contribute to Corporate HSE programs and initiatives.
