Job summary

Geosyntec Consultants is seeking an Experienced Geotechnical Engineer to join our dams and levees practice in Los Angeles, CA or Davis, CA with hybrid work flexibility. The role focuses on design and construction support, risk analysis, and geotechnical analysis for critical infrastructure.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years' experience, strong writing and communication skills, and PE registration is preferred. Travel to site inspections may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering (required).
• Advanced degree in civil engineering (preferred).
• Professional registration (P.E.) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support dam and levee design projects.
• Manage multiple project assignments and scopes.
• Prepare geotechnical site characterization programs.
• Evaluate geotechnical aspects of embankments and infrastructure.
• Support risk analysis and risk-informed decision making.
• Conduct fieldwork and travel as needed.
• Prepare reports, calculations, drawings and specs.
