Gladstone Institutes in San Francisco, CA, seeks a Research Associate I with a background in experimental genomics to join Theodoris Lab focused on cardiovascular disease research. This is a unique opportunity at the interface of experimental and computational biology in a collaborative environment.

You will perform molecular biology and genomics experiments, work with iPSCs, and contribute to single-cell and ChIP-seq analyses while collaborating with computational biologists and presenting

Qualifications

• BS/BA in molecular biology, genomics, bioengineering, or a related field.
• 1+ years of laboratory experience.
• Proficiency with iPSC tissue culture.
• Experience with RNA/DNA purification, PCR, and cloning.
• Experience in experimental genomics including sequencing library prep.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Responsibilities

• Perform molecular biology and genomics experiments (RNA/DNA purification, PCR, cloning).
• Conduct cell culture experiments, including iPSCs.
• Contribute to single-cell and ChIP-seq experiments and analyses.
• Manage lab operations: organize, order supplies, ensure safety compliance.
• Collaborate with computational biologists to integrate data.
• Present findings in lab meetings and contribute to discussions.
• Assist in training junior lab members.
