Job summary

Innovative Genomics Institute at UC Berkeley seeks a Research Associate to support molecular analysis of genome editing outcomes using ddPCR and other assays. The role includes maintaining iPSC and HSPC cultures, performing standard molecular biology workflows, and evaluating delivery efficiency in relevant cell types under supervision.

You will contribute to projects aiming to develop CRISPR-based therapeutics for diseases, assist with data management and reporting, and help with reagent prep

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Biochemistry, Biotech, Genetics or closely related field.
• Extensive experience with ddPCR and data interpretation.
• Proficiency in mammalian cell culture and standard molecular biology techniques.

Responsibilities

• Conduct ddPCR and other assays to evaluate gene editing efficiency.
• Maintain and characterize mammalian cell cultures (iPSCs, HSPCs).
• Perform genomic DNA extraction, long-range PCR, and gel electrophoresis.
• Manage data, interpret results, and present findings in team meetings.
• Support lab operations including reagent prep and equipment maintenance.
