The University of California, Berkeley seeks a Research Associate to collaborate on molecular analysis of genome editing outcomes using ddPCR and other assays. The role includes maintaining mammalian cell lines, including iPSCs, and executing core molecular biology protocols to validate CRISPR-based interventions.

Under supervision, you will assist with cloning, RNP preparation, cell culture, and evaluation of delivery efficiency across relevant cell types, contributing to projects tackling

Formación

• Extensive experience with ddPCR and data interpretation.
• Proficiency in mammalian cell culture techniques.
• Standard molecular biology skills, including DNA extraction and PCR optimization.

Responsabilidades

• Conduct ddPCR and dPCR assays to benchmark and evaluate gene editing efficiency, including indels, excisions, and inversions.
• Maintain and characterize mammalian cell cultures, focusing on iPSCs and HSPCs.
• Perform general molecular biology tasks such as genomic DNA extraction, long-range PCR, and gel electrophoresis.
• Manage data, interpret results, and present findings in team meetings.
• Provide general lab support, including preparing peptide solutions and equipment maintenance.
