Job summary

Eurofins USA Genomic Services is seeking an R&D Technician to support daily operations in our Louisville laboratory. This role involves processing samples, executing molecular biology workflows, and maintaining QA and safety standards.

You will train in DNA/RNA extraction, RT-PCR, ELISA, and NGS workflows, working closely with the R&D Manager to ensure timely, accurate results and proper documentation. The position requires 1–3 years in an industry lab and authorization to work in the US.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Biotechnology, or a related field is preferred.
• Minimum 1–3 years experience in an industry lab; sequencing experience preferred.
• Familiarity with sequencing - library prep, RT-PCR, DNA/RNA extraction.
• Willingness to receive training in molecular biology techniques and R&D protocols.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions with high accuracy.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in recordkeeping.
• Commitment to laboratory safety practices and maintaining high-quality standards.
• Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Process samples for developmental research as directed by the R&D team.
• Collaborate with the R&D Manager to ensure samples are processed in alignment with quality standards and project timelines.
• Support the upkeep and organization of the lab, including equipment and supplies.
• Adhere to the lab’s QA system and safety protocols.
• Assist with lab documentation and records, sample preparation, DNA/RNA extraction, gel electrophoresis, and RT-PCR assays.
• Run and optimize NGS and tGBS library preparation workflows and conduct basic data analysis.
