Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum Bachelor's degree in ASCP eligible program.
• PA: MLS/MT/Categorical or Specialty ASCP Certification within 1 year of hire.
• NY: Clinical Laboratory Technologist within 6 months for new graduates.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine and complex laboratory analyses on clinical specimens.
• Verifies analytic accuracy, precision, sensitivity, and linearity of tests.
• Operates, calibrates, and maintains instrumentation and QC processes.
• Provides oversight and mentors staff and students in testing activities.
• Serves as consultant to medical staff and participates in continuing education.
• May collect and process patient specimens according to policies.
