Job summary

Fulgent Therapeutics LLC is seeking a Molecular Lab Technician II to perform clinical laboratory procedures under SOPs and QA, contributing to our Clinical Sequencing Services. You will handle DNA/RNA extractions and sequencing workflows, while maintaining meticulous records and compliance with HIPAA and safety standards.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in molecular biology or genetics and at least three years in a clinical lab, with strong attention to detail and reliability; color vision

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in molecular biology or genetics, or related field.
• Minimum of three (3) years of experience in a clinical laboratory.
• Strong work ethic and immaculate attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate records for all tests per SOP/QA.
• Perform DNA/RNA extraction, Sanger sequencing, qPCR, RPPCR, MLPA and NGS library prep.
• Assist with troubleshooting and identify issues affecting test performance.
• Maintain lab cleanliness and orderly work area; assist with supplies and equipment.
• Complete required training courses and ensure compliance with safety and HIPAA regulations.
• Report to Lab Supervisor or Licensed Lab Technologist about duties and safety.
