Fulgent Therapeutics LLC is seeking a Molecular Lab Technician II to perform clinical laboratory procedures under SOPs and QA, contributing to our Clinical Sequencing Services. You will handle DNA/RNA extractions and sequencing workflows, while maintaining meticulous records and compliance with HIPAA and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate records for all tests per SOP/QA.
• Perform DNA/RNA extraction, Sanger sequencing, qPCR, RPPCR, MLPA and NGS library prep.
• Assist with troubleshooting and identify issues affecting test performance.
• Maintain lab cleanliness and orderly work area; assist with supplies and equipment.
• Complete required training courses and ensure compliance with safety and HIPAA regulations.
• Report to Lab Supervisor or Licensed Lab Technologist about duties and safety.

By merging our fields of expertise, we aim to become a fully integrated precision medicine company.Summary of PositionThe Molecular Lab Technician II is responsible for performing clinical laboratory test procedures following standard operating (SOP) and quality assurance (QA) procedures under general supervision. The successful candidate will be a key contributor in a team committed to Clinical Sequencing Services.Key Job ElementsMaintain good record keeping for all testing performed as mandated by established protocols at Fulgent.Follow only approved laboratory procedures for all divisions of clinical testing that the technician has received and completed training on.Perform certain complex lab procedures under general supervision. Those complex procedures include DNA /RNA extraction, Sanger sequencing, qPCR, RPPCR, MLPA and NGS library prep.Assist with troubleshooting skills and be able to identify problems that may adversely affect test performance or reporting of test results.
