Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Genomics Intern to join the Indianapolis, IN team. The intern will perform testing to evaluate assay and instrument performance, document results, and present findings at the end of the assignment.

You will learn about different genomics platforms and collaborate with validation, development, and production teams. Preferred candidates are rising juniors or seniors in genomics, biology, chemistry, or related fields, with strong attention to detail and the ability to work

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to deliver multiple projects in an academic or professional setting
• Demonstrates attention to detail and ability to follow laboratory procedures

Responsibilities

• Perform testing to evaluate assay or instrument performance characteristics
• Prepare proper documentation of test results and present findings of research at end of assignment
• Familiarize yourself with genomics platforms and their relation to clinical trial testing
• Engage with validation/development and production teams to understand testing scope and scale
