Job summary

The Broad Institute, in partnership with Massachusetts General Hospital’s Talkowski Laboratory, is seeking a Computational Scientist to analyze sequencing data and identify structural variants in the human genome. You will work within CGM to integrate population databases and phenotype/genotype datasets, applying novel computational methods to translational genomic challenges.

• BS with 2+ years of experience or MS in a quantitative discipline.
• Experience with programming languages such as Java, C++, R, and/or Python.
• Experience with computational analysis, algorithm development, and statistics.
• Knowledge of bioinformatics analysis tools, methods, and databases is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality, large-scale computational analyses.
• Analyze sequencing data to identify structural variants.
• Collaborate within CGM and Broad Institute to integrate datasets.
• Work in a hybrid/remote environment as needed.
