The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center is seeking an experienced Medical Assistant to join the Genitourinary Cancer Center. The ideal candidate has at least one year of MA experience and can thrive in a high-volume, fast-paced clinic with strong patient care standards. MA certification is preferred but not required.

Qualifikationen

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program including externship/practicum preferred.
• U.S. Military medical services training program preferred.
• 1 year Medical Assistant experience required or no experience with accredited MA program.

Aufgaben

• Record and obtain vital signs for all patients and document in the medical record.
• Room patients and support positive patient care flow within the clinic.
• Obtain labs and assist with blood draws and specimen collection as ordered.
• Assist with GU Center procedures (e.g., prostate biopsies, cystoscopies, catheter removals) under supervision.
• Coordinate with the medical team to update medications and patient needs.
