Job summary

MD Anderson Cancer Center in Texas seeks an experienced Medical Assistant to join the Genitourinary Cancer Center. The role supports high-volume clinical workflows, rooming patients, obtaining vital signs, and assisting with procedures under the care of the medical team.

The ideal candidate has at least one year MA experience or completion of an accredited MA program. Regular Mon-Fri schedule, 8 hours per day, no holidays or weekends.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of Medical Assistant experience or completion of an accredited MA program including externship/practicum.
• Certified Medical Assistant preferred but not required.
• Ability to adapt in a fast-paced clinical setting.
• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8 hours, no holidays or weekends.

Responsibilities

• Obtain and record vital signs for all patients.
• Room patients and support positive patient care flow.
• Obtain labs and assist with blood draws as ordered.
• Assist procedures in GU Center under supervision.
• Gather medication and patient information updates with the medical team.
