Job summary

The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center is seeking a Medical Assistant to support clinical operations in the Head and Neck department. You will assist with patient care, collect data, and help maintain a smooth workflow in a fast-paced oncology setting.

Experience in an ENT/Head & Neck or oral laryngology environment is preferred. The role emphasizes confidentiality, teamwork, and a patient-centered approach to care with opportunities for growth and ongoing education.

Qualifications

• Required: High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Preferred: Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program including externship/practicum.
• Preferred: Graduate of a U.S. Military medical services training program.

Responsibilities

• Assist staff with completion of routine patient care assignments and/or collecting data from patients as delegated.
• Accurately record vital signs and other data, report abnormalities to nursing staff.
• Completes appropriate information on FML, disability forms and other forms and producing/sending patient result letters as delegated.
• Aids in completion of activities of daily living, mobilization, greeting, rooming, and vital signs.
• Maintains environment in a clean, safe, and orderly manner.
