Job summary

Community Health Network is looking for a Medical Assistant in Indianapolis, Indiana. You'll assist providers with patient visits, routine lab tests, and manage an efficient flow of care.

The ideal candidate should have a diploma from a Medical Assistant program or relevant experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a team. Certification must be obtained within six months of hire. This position actively contributes to quality initiatives for improved patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Diploma from a Medical Assistant program or high school diploma plus one year of Medical Assistant experience.
• Medical Assistant certification required within six months of hire.
• Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude toward problem-solving.
• Ability to collaborate with others in a team setting.

Responsibilities

• Prepare exam rooms and treatment areas for patient use.
• Room patients and manage an efficient flow of provider’s caseload.
• Obtain necessary vital signs, EKGs, and/or specimen collection.
• Document care using the EPIC EMR system.
• Perform Point of Care Testing based on the patient’s chief complaint.
• Process referrals and medication refills.
• Maintain positive relationships with patients, providers, and staff.
