Job summary

Hunter Recruiting seeks a Research Associate I, Genetic Medicine to support mammalian cell culture maintenance, high-throughput workflows, and cell-based assay development across RNA/protein purification projects. You will assist senior scientists, manage data in LIMS, and contribute to cross-functional program updates within a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications include a BS in a STEM field and 1+ years of hands-on lab experience, with strengths in mammalian culture and assay development.

Qualifications

BS in a STEM field with 1+ years hands-on lab experience post-bachelor’s degree.
Fluency in mammalian cell culture and cell-based assay development.
Exposure to mammalian synthetic biology and library-based approaches.

Responsibilities

Support senior scientists and engineers by executing high-throughput screening and cell engineering experiments.
Perform RNA/nucleic acid QC and related assays (sCGE, HTRF, HPLC, endotoxin).
Support large-scale RNA and protein purification by chromatography.
Maintain adherent and non-adherent mammalian cells in culture.
Develop functional cell-based assays and execute at high throughput.
Collaborate with engineers to integrate in vitro screens into automation platforms.
Present results at cross-functional team meetings and document data in the LIMS.
Maintain laboratory records and contribute to lab organization.
