Qualifications

• Master’s degree in genetic counseling required.
• PA Genetic Counselor license required; licensure must be completed per state rules.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience as a genetic counselor with independence in complex cases.

Responsibilities

• Provide genetic counseling and care coordination for ALS and FTLD research centers.
• Support observational and clinical trial research activities.
• Recruit and retain participants in research studies.
• Obtain participant consent and contribute to IRB protocol writing.
• Interpret genetic test results and communicate with patients and healthcare teams.
• Prepare case materials, construct pedigrees, and document encounters.
• Mentor other staff and participate in quality improvement and outreach activities.
