Nixon Power Services in Charlotte, NC is seeking a Generator Technician to join our team. This hands-on role keeps standby generator systems in top condition, performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting engines, and installing new units to ensure reliable power for customers.

The ideal candidate has a High School diploma or GED, technical training a plus, 1–5 years of generator experience, and good communication.

Qualifikationen

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• Technical school certificate or military training is a plus.
• 1-5 years generator experience required.
• Experience with Kohler Power Systems is a plus.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.

Aufgaben

• Perform preventative maintenance on standby generator systems.
• Troubleshoot and repair gas and diesel engines.
• Repair and adjust transfer switches and perform major repairs on units.
• Install and test new generator units.
• Respond quickly to jobsites in case of emergency.
• Complete and submit work orders and reports in a timely manner.
• Prepare accurate quotes for repairs.
• Follow safety requirements, including proper use of PPE.
