Job summary

Generac is hiring a Technical Service Trainer to deliver comprehensive training at our Sussex, Wisconsin service training center. You will guide technicians through generator repair, installation, start-up, and troubleshooting, and develop curriculum and training materials.

The role requires strong technical writing and presentation skills, MS Office proficiency, and ability to manage multiple priorities. Preference is given to those with curriculum development experience and ASE or Technician

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 3 years field technician experience in HVAC, automotive, generator or similar, or 3 years combined field tech and training experience.
  • Associates or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Curriculum development experience appreciated.
  • ASE certification or Technician Excellence certification is a plus.
  • Experience using SAP or ERP is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Instruct/train technicians in generator repair and installation.
  • Develop and present technical training curriculum.
  • Write and review technical documentation (owner, installation, diagnostic, and service manuals).
  • Establish warranty flat rates for new product prototypes.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to fabricate training units.
  • DOT driver (Non CDL).
  • Other duties as assigned.
