Job summary

Nidec Corporation seeks a hands-on technician to disassemble, repair, and reassemble generators at the Mankato, MN site. You will interface with customers in the field and at the company, traveling 20% to 50% of the time with a senior technician.

The role requires knowledge of stator/rotor winding and electrical testing. Eight thousand hours of experience and vocational/technical training are required, with potential forklift certification.

Qualifications

• Vocational or high school graduate plus formal training or on-the-job training to learn electrical/mechanical principles.

Responsibilities

• Disassemble, evaluate, repair, and reassemble generators returned for repair or refurbishment.
• Interface with customers in the field and at the company.
• Travel 20–50% with a Senior Service Technician to job sites.
• Must use appropriate tools and understand generator components and electrical testing.
