Job summary

Nebraska Machinery Company (NMC Cat) is seeking a Field Technician to repair generators and industrial engines in the field. You will travel to customer sites in a company vehicle to remove, install, repair, and diagnose CAT and non-CAT equipment, including power systems.

Typical hours are 7:30am–4pm, with on-call emergencies. The role requires strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting, the ability to read schematics, and a commitment to customer satisfaction in field service.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site power generation evaluations, troubleshooting and problem solving.
• Install, service and repair generators, ATS, and related system products.
• Perform machine performance tests and interpret results to decide repair scope.
• Perform scheduled maintenance and electrical/mechanical troubleshooting of engines, generators, switchgear, emissions controls.
