Job summary

The Taylor Group in Summerville, SC, is seeking a Generator Sales Representative to drive outside sales of generators and transfer switches. You will contact existing customers and new prospects in person, by phone, and by email, presenting detailed quotations and coordinating with the General Sales Manager to secure pricing and follow-up.

Responsibilities include preparing quotes, working with Inside Sales, and presenting at trade shows when needed.

Qualifications

• Two years or more of industrial/commercial generator sales experience.
• Strong mechanical knowledge of generators and transfer switches.
• Proficient with Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Email for quotations and communication.
• Ability to read and interpret detailed generator bid specifications.
• Ability to call on customers and prospects at all levels of business.
• Strong follow-up with quotes and customer communications.

Responsibilities

• Sell generators and transfer switches to existing customers and new prospects in the assigned territory.
• Prepare detailed, descriptive written quotations.
• Coordinate with Inside Sales and General Sales Manager to follow up on inquiries and pricing.
• Make presentations to customer groups and at trade shows when required.
• Identify prospects in bid markets and travel to meet customers.
