Job summary

Siemens Energy, Inc. in Orlando is seeking an Electrical Systems engineer to design, specify and implement electrical equipment for simple and combined cycle power plants.

You will work with customers, vendors, and bid management to develop technical solutions that meet high-quality standards and timelines. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering and at least 5 years of experience with electrical components used in power plants or HV transmission systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering
• 5+ years experience in electrical components used in power plants and/or high voltage transmission systems
• Fluent in English (written and verbal)
• Excellent team player and communicator

Responsibilities

• Contribute to development of electrical concepts and system designs for power plants and project implementations
• Design and specification of electrical components for generator protection and terminal equipment
• Create and maintain technical design tools and documentation
• Support bid management with cost calculations and technical input
• Provide technical support to supply chain management for supplier qualification
