Job summary

Siemens Energy, Inc. is seeking a Power Systems Engineer in Houston, TX to design, implement, and commission integrated industrial power solutions for medium- and low-voltage systems across diverse sectors.

You will collaborate with global teams to drive projects from proposal through commissioning, applying expertise in MV/LV distribution, switchgear, MCCs, transformers, and protection, while supporting field startup and troubleshooting and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field and 3+ years of relevant experience.
Proficient in medium and low voltage power systems, switchgear, MCCs, transformers, and protection.
Experience in industrial power system design from proposal through commissioning.
Willingness to travel domestically and internationally (30%).

Responsibilities

Execute power system solutions using Siemens technologies across full lifecycle—from proposal and design through commissioning and service.
Design and integrate MV/LV power distribution systems, including switchgear, MCCs, transformers, and related equipment.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project success.
Interface with customers to resolve technical issues and present engineering solutions.
Prepare and review engineering documentation, such as system descriptions, drawings, and test/commissioning procedures, while supporting field commissioning, startup, and troubleshooting activities.
Contribute to the development and standardization of engineering solutions across the team.
