Job summary

Siemens Energy is seeking a field-facing engineer to lead the development and refinement of processes and tools for generator fleet maintenance. You will optimize safety, quality, and scheduling for outages, and design training criteria for technicians and engineers on specialized equipment.

You will support District Service Offices with outage plans and provide on-site technical leadership during peak seasons, while managing complex R&D projects and cost-saving standardization initiatives

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, mechanical engineering technology, or related technical field.
• Up to 2+ years of field service, power generation, or related engineering experience; Siemens Energy equipment knowledge a plus.
• Strong skills in process optimization, project management, and problem solving.
• Excellent technical writing and verbal communication abilities; proficient in Microsoft Office; adaptable to learning new tools.
• Willing to travel 30% domestically and internationally.
• Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without sponsorhip.

What You Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, mechanical engineering technology, or related technical field. Candidates with equivalent industry experience may be considered.
• Up to 2 or more years of field service, power generation, or related engineering experience; prior knowledge of Siemens Energy equipment and processes is a plus.
• Strong skills in process optimization, project management, and problem‑solving.
• Excellent technical writing and verbal communication abilities, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office and adaptable to learning new tools.
• Willing to travel 30% domestically and internationally.
